Everybody's Hometown

Community, Tradition, Heritage, and History

We all agree that the children of Prescott deserve a “Smart Choice” when considering where they will attend high school. Most will automatically choose Prescott High School .

Location! Location! Location!

Prescott Unified School District is considering building a new high school. We all agree that something needs to be done with the current high school. It is in very poor condition, it is overcrowded, and has not been maintained properly. PUSD is proposing selling the current site and building a brand new school somewhere out on the very outskirts of Prescott, somewhere off of 89A or Pioneer Parkway between Williamson Valley Road and possibly as far out as Glassford Hill Road. “ Chescott Valley High School ”.

Is this an attempt to pave the path for the future development of Prescott? Is this truly in the best interest of the children who reside in Prescott?

We believe that there is a simple answer!

REBUILD~ REVITALIZE PRESCOTT HIGH SCHOOL !

Prescott High School at its current location can be rebuilt; remodeled, new buildings can be erected with two or three stories. This can be done. Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, which was built in the early 70’s, has just built new buildings and remodeled their current location. A group of Prescott parents have toured the school, spoken with the staff and principal, and were able to ask many questions in regards to their project. It can be done successfully! Possibility thinking, planning and phasing the project into a beautiful new high school at Prescott ’s central location! We do not have any special interest; we are just hoping to conserve the continuity of why we all live in Prescott .

We want to keep Prescott “EVERYBODYS HOMETOWN” AND SERVE THE CHILDREN OF PRESCOTT FIRST!

PUSD has not surveyed parents or conducted an independent study in regards to this issue. We feel that parents and the community should have a voice in where the high school should be located and what serves the needs of the children and their families. We are asking for the community to come together and let PUSD know what works the best for preserving Prescott and “EVERBODY’S HOMETOWN”.

Please join us and let our voices be heard.
